Introduction
Department of Dentistry is existing since the inception of Govt. Medical College, Bhandara in 2024. It is well equipped with equipments and staff as per NMC norms and in terms of excellent patient care.
Department of Dentistry offers undergraduate medical students extensive exposure to the speciality which encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases through Didactic lectures, clinics and Tutorials. The department is also actively involved various awareness programme for prevention and control of oral diseases by arranging regular camps in schools, visits to rural and slum areas and education of general public through ORAL HEALTH MISSION governed by Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Mumbai. The patient being the main focus of attention, the department is committed to ensure accessible, high quality and ethical health care.

Vision
- To establish a state of art centre for Oral Implant Surgery.
- To establish a centre for the Digital oral Radiology in terms of CBCT.
- To establish Metal, Metal-Ceramic and Ceramic Lab for rehabilitation of partially edentulous patients.
- To develop a programme to control the preventable Oral Diseases.
- To start Certificate courses in the department for various Specialities affiliated to MUHS, Nasik.
Functions & objectives.
- Treatments of all the oral and Dental diseases are done by the department.
- Diagnosis, investigations, palliative treatment and counseling of Precancer and Cancer diseases is done by the department in the Specialty clinic.
- Rehabilitation prosthesis for the Geriatric patients and surgically operated patients are prepared by the department.
- Regular oral health awareness programmes are conducted by the Department.
